How to prepare rice in the XL rice cooker
- This makes 11+ servings of rice. Rice prep should be done by 6:15pm for rice to be cooked by 7:15pm.
- Using the plastic Rice Measuring Cup* scoop 8 scant cups of rice (approximately 1100 grams) into the cooking vessel.
- Rinse with water and drain 3 times.
- Using the plastic Rice Measuring Cup, fill the vessel with approximately 7.5 cups of water, which should result in the water line rising above the β6β mark. (Tip: when draining the water for the third time, the remaining .5 cup of water is difficult to drain anyway, so using the β6β mark is more consistent than measuring exact cups of water.)
- Select the βwhite/mixed riceβ setting and press βcookβ.
- *Rice Measuring Cup that comes with Asian-manufactured rice cookers is NOT a standard US cup in volume.
