While the School of Art and Time is more of a community than a physical space, we often host events and activities at a shared residential space just south of Laurelhurst Park in Portland, Oregon.
There is a gate on the side of the house that allows folks to access a communal space in the backyard which includes a garden, multiple lounge/work spaces, an open-air shelter, electricity, running water, and portable heaters for the colder months. There is a dining hall inside the house where folks are invited to join for Tuesday Night Dinners and other events that are hosted on-site.
Accessibility and important information:
- If you havenβt been to The School before, text Jaron Heard at 971-998-7180 for the address and access details.
- Be mindful that the house is a communal living space. Please get permission before entering, remove your shoes when you arrive, and keep the space tidy.
- Access to the communal space in the backyard requires navigating a non-standard fence gate, slightly uneven terrain, and a single step. There are large stairs leading up to the house where the restroom and dining hall are located. We are happy to help you access the space.
- There is a cat in the house who is friendly and chill, but not hypo-allergenic.
- Check the website for updates before arriving as the space is actively evolving.
