More info: Host a field trip

Field trips are shared adventures where we travel together to experience art, culture, and ideas beyond our usual spaces. The host coordinates group tickets, carpools or public transit, and/or packed food to make these experiences accessible and feasible. If you would like to lead a field trip, please attend an upcoming Organizing Meeting with a brief proposal and potential logistics. Participants are required to sign up in advance and asked to provide a sliding-scale donation.

Host a field trip

After you have proposed the field trip at an Organizing Meeting and ironed out any remaining logistics, please fill out this form at least 14 days in advance of the date. We will then add your event to our website and booking platform. A few notes on field trips 1. The host coordinates communication with the destination, group tickets, and/or carpools or public transit to make these experiences accessible and feasible. 2. The School asks participants to donate a sliding scale payment of $6.90-20.02 (suggested $13.12) to defray costs of other free programming, and this provides opportunity for those with resources to contribute while maintaining accessibility (no one turned away for lack of funds). 3. Sign-ups close 24 hours before the field trip date, and the host will receive a list of participants with emails. If you have questions about field trips, email Josh Carr (joshcarr@gmail.com).

Is there a minimum or limit on the number of participants?

Our space can accommodate 8 people not including the host, but you can choose to limit the capacity due to other factors (e.g., supplies).

Would you like to create a digital flyer for social media?

We can generate a simple flyer with one of our templates, but we’re more than happy to use something you have designed. Please feel free to email this flyer later if you need more time.
