ORGANIZING MEETING

2025-10-28

ATTENDEES: CHRIS, BO, TAYLOR, JENNY, JOSH, JEN.

OLD TOPICS:

  • STEWARDSHIP: Tues DINNER + new ones for next month (Jenny)
  • Updates on topics from last month (Jen)
  • Internal workshop of Adam UPDATES (Jenny) including home work

NEW TOPICS:

  • SHOW+TELL IDEA (Jenny)
  • FIELD TRIP (Jenny+ Taylor)

✶ We need to add updates from House to be added to script.

ITEMS from WEBSITE HAPPENINGS:

Adventure Time (Field Trip)

  • Jen + Jaron made updates to website, re-ordering things to make them make sense

ADVENTURE TIME:

  • In lieu of workshops
  • opportunity to get people out of house especially in the winter. There are so many cool things.
  • Portland Center Stage: "Little Women" we can public transit together
  • Arts For All and Day of Tickets will be reduced price.
  • Whoever comes up with Field Trip idea: they should steward
  • Attend the organizing Mtg before the Field day date to help organize
  • maybe we pack lunches for everyone.
  • website and reflects these updates
  • If not a regular school "faculty" then thet might need a helper. that IS a "faculty" member.
  • WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE WHY format from workshop template.
  • People need to sign up @ least one day prior 24hrs before.
  • Leader/steward will get names the night before.

✶ We need to change the Stripe donation link to something higher.

  • Leader/steward to fill out proposal form beforehand. Then hash out logistics at organizing meeting.

✶ Website needs an update: we need a description of what field trip is: (Jenny will add this page)

  • Josh will steward the field trips proposal

✶ Jaron to help set up form to put the proposal images to Josh.

Suggested donations e.g.$6.90 - $13.12 - $19.69 (or $20.02)

TUESDAY NIGHT DINNER

  • who will steward?
  • responsibilities: track who is coming, send Reminder to community, make sure we have a cook. AND IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE one of the stewards should cook
  • Taylor will steward. Josh will back up. Before we have a cook for 4th. need help first two weeks!
  • Steward tells them (cook) how to get in. The house cooks rice. They can cook at School or at home. They can arrive as early as 5pm

✶ Jen has a GoogleCal that shows Who is cooking. Jaron will help make this happen.

  • Add a rule to website about SHOES OFF
  • ✶ website update→ Jaron.

  • we now have recipes on the website-they are done in different formats. Make meals for Under $35.

UPDATES on ADAM'S WORKSHOP

  • We need to schedule the working/study group to do the homework.
  • Jen offered Breathe Building.
  • vote time of day + day of week- to coordinate/schedule
  • Jen to msg Signal to coordinate/schedule
  • maybe the venue is Josh's porch

DONUT SATURDAY

  • SUCCESS!
  • will happen last Saturday of Nov

SHOW+ TELL

  • Jen has a question: would house be open to hosting. Decide on particular day+time
  • Josh could also host at his house
  • Once a month on Fridays. Afternoon after 1pm before 5pm.
  • start it up again in January.
  • If at the House, it could be at the table where we have dinner.
